EU withdrawal button on Wix
Since 19 June 2026, the date from which the rules of Directive (EU) 2023/2673 apply, anyone who concludes contracts with consumers through a website must also let them withdraw through a dedicated function. Here is what the function must do, and two ways to get it on Wix.

First: does the obligation cover your site?
It covers distance contracts concluded through an online interface, such as a Wix store, where the consumer has a right of withdrawal. If you only sell to businesses, or only contracts excluded from the right of withdrawal, those contracts need no withdrawal function.
What the function must do (Article 11a)
- A clear label: “Withdraw from contract here” or a corresponding, equally unambiguous formulation.
- Available throughout the withdrawal period, prominently displayed and easily accessible.
- The consumer provides or confirms their name, details identifying the contract, and the email address for the confirmation.
- They then confirm through a second function labelled “Confirm withdrawal” or an equally unambiguous formulation.
- The trader sends, without undue delay and on a durable medium such as email, an acknowledgement of receipt with the content of the statement and the date and time of its submission.
Option 1 — by hand, with Wix's own tools
Wix's help article on the order cancellation button suggests a page, a form and a button. If you take that route, check:
- the wording of the button and of the confirmation, word for word;
- that the link is visible on every page for the whole withdrawal period, for example in the footer;
- that the form asks for the three details above and has a separate confirmation step;
- that the automatic email contains the text of the statement with the date and time;
- that you keep a record of every statement.
Option 2 — the app

What does it cost?
The app is free; the site needs a Wix Premium plan.
Is a contact form enough?
A generic contact form usually has neither the statutory wording, nor the confirmation step, nor the acknowledgement with date and time. If you adapt one, check the points under option 1.
Does the app make my shop compliant?
