What this statement covers

• The withdrawal button that Cooloff adds to a Wix shop, and the dialog it opens: the withdrawal form and its confirmation.
• This website, cooloffapp.com.

It does not cover the rest of the shop the button sits in, which is the merchant's website and the merchant's responsibility; the Cooloff dashboard merchants use inside Wix; the emails and PDF files the app sends or exports; or the termination button under § 312k BGB.

The standard we work to

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the level the European standard EN 301 549 applies to web content. Some of the later checks also covered WCAG 2.2 criteria.

Status

We do not claim that the button, the dialog or this website meet every success criterion. What was checked and what it found is set out below; the barriers we know of are listed under known limitations.

What was checked, and how

• Automated check, 18 September 2026: axe-core 4.10.2 with the rules for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA, limited to the button and the dialog on Cooloff's own test shop: 0 violations. A deliberately planted fault (an image without alternative text) was reported, so the check was able to fail. It was repeated the same day after the next app release, with the same result.
• By hand, the same day: the two points axe-core could not decide on its own, including the contrast of every text in the dialog. The lowest contrast ratio measured was 18.9:1.
• Manual review, 22 September 2026: the dialog against WCAG 2.2 level AA. It found that a field with an error was marked as wrong but screen readers were not told what was wrong (success criterion 3.3.1). Fixed in version 12.45 of the app.
• Automated tests in the app's code check that the button label reaches a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 on any colour the merchant chooses, that each field error is tied to its field for screen readers, and that each part of the form carries the language it is written in.
• This website, 7 September 2026: a structural check of the nine pages then online (page language, headings, alternative text, names of form controls, duplicate ids, link texts). The two faults it found were fixed.

How the dialog can be used

• It can be operated with the keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline.
• When it opens, focus moves into the form and stays inside it until the dialog is closed; Escape closes it.
• Every field has a visible label and the matching autocomplete value, so browsers can fill it in.
• An error is named at the field it concerns.
• The confirmation is announced to screen readers as a status message.
• The button label is black or white, whichever contrasts more with the colour the merchant picks.

Known limitations

• The shop around the button. Whether the button stands out from the page, where it sits and how the rest of the page behaves depend on the shop's design and on the colour the merchant chooses. Cooloff sets the colour of the label, not of the page.
• Coverage of the checks. The automated check ran on Cooloff's test shop, not on every shop that uses the app, and automated tools find only part of the barriers that can occur.
• Assistive technology. A test by people who use screen readers or other assistive technology is still outstanding.
• Languages. In languages for which Cooloff does not yet have its own texts, the explanations in the dialog appear in English, while the statutory button labels appear in the shop's language. Each part is marked with its language, so screen readers can switch pronunciation.
• This website. Pages added after 7 September 2026 have not each been through the structural check.
