EU Greenwashing Check is a Wix app for online shops. A merchant installs it on their own site and uses it to check that site. This policy explains what a check reads, what happens to it, and who is responsible.

A legal notice page usually contains the trader's name and address, which the trader published there. A check only looks for links on it.
No orders, customers, contacts, payment data or form submissions, and nothing about the shop's visitors.
Nothing from a check is kept. A check runs when the merchant opens the app or presses "Check again"; the pages and products are held in memory while it runs, and the result goes to the merchant's dashboard and is then gone. If a check fails, a technical error message goes to the app's log at Wix so the developer can find the fault; it can contain the site's address or a Wix identifier.
The app runs on Wix's hosting (Wix.com Ltd., Israel), and Wix provides the interfaces it reads through; Wix keeps technical request logs as it does for every app it hosts. No other service takes part: no analytics, no e-mail service, no AI service. Nothing is sold, rented or used for advertising.
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: a check is the service the merchant asks for by running it. Where a legal notice page names a person, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the page is published so that it can be read, and a check only looks for links on it.
The app sets no cookies and tracks no one. This page is counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies.
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, and the restriction of its processing, and you can object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f). Since a check keeps nothing, there is usually nothing to hand over or erase. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
The developer and Wix.com Ltd. are based in Israel, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
